Oh Horrors!
What do you fear? Why do you fear it? What if what you feared was your best friend? What if it was the only thing you had to communicate with? What if your life was nothing but fear?
Write a short story about a character who knows nothing but fear.

Tell Me a Story.
Tell me a story about the day of your first kiss in first person. Good. Now tell me the story of your first kiss in third person. Excellent. Now pretend you don't know anything about that moment and who you were then. Tell me the story again with that in mind. I don't care about literal details. Just create as you go along. But remember, this isn't you.
Empathy.
Put yourself in the following characters shoes:
-A ghost who doesn't know he is dead and wonders why his wife won't have sex with him.
-An agoraphobic princess locked up in a tower dreading the day Prince Charming will rescue her.
-A serial murderer who lives not only to kill, but to also paint pretty pictures of flowers.
-A well-established and successful doctor with a secret addiction to meth.

The [Hilarious] Apocalypse.
What will the end of the world look like? Would it be scary, sad, inviting, or maybe even funny? Take the idea of the "apocalypse" and describe it as it would happen in each of these genres:
-Horror.
-Action.
-Comedy.
-Drama.
-Soap Opera.
-Cartoon.
-Fantasy.
-Romance.
Obviously some are much easier than others, due to the stereotypes out there about the end of the world [like fantasy, horror, drama, or action]. Although some more challenging options would be cartoon, comedy, soap opera, or romance. Try to combine genres for an even more challenging task. Some ideas are:
-Soap Opera + Cartoon.
-Comedy + Fantasy.
-Romance + Horror.
...and etc.
